A store is ready when a buyer can understand the offer, place an order, receive accurate confirmation, and get help if something goes wrong. Test the complete mobile path, supplier routing, shipping charges, policies and analytics before spending on traffic. A polished homepage alone is not launch readiness.

Product and promise
Confirm every listed product is available, photographed accurately and priced from a current supplier quote. Check variants, dimensions, claims and any safety or regulatory requirements relevant to the market. Place a sample order so the item and delivery estimate have real support. Keep a record of where each product description came from.
Checkout and fulfillment
On a phone, test navigation, cart, discount rules, shipping calculation, payment and confirmation. Then inspect the merchant order, supplier handoff, tracking email and a simulated cancellation. Shopify's store-starting guide treats payments and operations as part of setup, not later polish. Check both success and failure states, including an unavailable variant and a declined payment.
Trust and measurement
Make delivery, return, privacy and contact information findable before checkout. Verify your support inbox receives a message and someone is assigned to reply. Confirm analytics records a consented visit and test order without double-counting. Google recommends a clear, crawlable ecommerce structure; ensure category and product links work without search-box tricks.
One final human pass
Ask a person who has never seen the store to buy a test product and say aloud what they expect to receive. Watch for hesitation rather than explaining the interface. Fix blockers first; leave cosmetic experiments for after real traffic. Once this gate passes, use the 30-day plan to learn from early customers.
Do not announce launch until one unfamiliar tester can complete a mobile order and receive the correct follow-up without help.
