Useful Instagram content shows what the product does, who it suits, how it looks in use and what happens after purchase. Mix demonstrations, buyer-question answers, behind-the-scenes details and genuine customer proof where you have permission. Measure profile visits, product-page visits, qualified questions and orders—not only views or likes.

Build four repeatable series
Start with a product demonstration, a common buying question, a comparison or use case, and a transparent fulfillment or founder story. Each format should answer something a buyer might ask before paying. A beautiful static poster can support a launch, but if the feed only repeats slogans, it gives a stranger little reason to trust the product.
Put the evidence in the frame
Show scale, texture, the unboxing experience and practical limitations. Ask for permission before reusing customer photos or messages; label paid creator partnerships appropriately. A genuine review should remain in context, not be edited to imply a typical outcome that it does not represent. Shopify's Instagram strategy guide covers a broader mix of Reels, Stories, profile setup and measurement.
Give discovery somewhere to go
Make the profile identify the store and its niche. Link to a relevant collection or product rather than a vague homepage when possible, and ensure the page works on mobile. Reply to product questions promptly with specifics about price, delivery and returns. Keep a record of which posts generated useful inquiries and which merely generated reach.
A simple two-week experiment might rotate these four series twice, then compare qualified product questions and visits. If a demonstration draws questions about a feature missing from the page, fix the product page. If people ask where to buy, make the route clearer. Do not treat follower growth alone as evidence of profit; use contribution margin to evaluate the sales that follow.
Plan eight posts around four buyer questions; keep the formats that lead to relevant questions and product-page visits, not just the most views.
